Don’t miss the Indigenous Arts Studio this summer!

There’s so much beautiful and historic Indigenous art displayed inside the Royal BC Museum—and now you can meet some of the artists who are keeping those traditions alive outside at the Indigenous Summer Arts Studio.

Look for the large white tent on the museum grounds near Thunderbird Park where emerging Indigenous artists and their mentors will be working on-site every Wednesday through Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm until the middle of September, 2019.

Everyone’s welcome! Drop by for a casual visit with July’s artists:

  • Virgin Sampson (Painting)
  • Travis Peal (Carving)
  • Joslyn Williams (Carving)
  • Lorilee Wastasecoot (Weaving)
  • Jesse Campbell (Painting)
  • Doug Lafortune (Painting)
  • Sarah Jim (Painting)
  • Tim Alfred (Carving)

And check back here at the end of the month for an updated list of artists in attendance throughout the summer!
